MeCom Device Server for .NET (free of charge)

The „MeCom Device Server“ is a .NET-based interface between Meerstetter devices and multiple master applications - such as our Service & Configuration Software or your own custom software.

Detailed Description

This package consists of a .NET console application that serves as an interface between one or more Meerstetter devices and several client applications. These include our configuration or service software and your own custom tools.

The MeCom Device Server processes the MeCom packet protocol and enables multiple master connections (TCP) to devices connected via USB, RS-485 or TCP. It runs on Windows, Linux (x64) and Raspberry Pi OS (ARM64) and supports FTDI, COM ports, and serial TCP servers such as MOXA NPort.

The server offers an interactive command-line interface (CLI) and can also be started with a variety of command-line arguments, which enables automated operation and integration into larger systems.

With this application you can:

  • Forwarding of MeCom communication from several master applications to a common bus or a single device
  • Automatic bus polling and device monitoring
  • Manage baud rate switching to increase communication speed and reliability
  • Run multiple instances on the same system using different TCP ports
  • Log communication events in a trace file

The package contains:

  • Executable files for Windows, Linux x64 and Raspberry Pi (ARM64)
  • A sample configuration
  • The “MeCom Device Server 5325” documentation (PDF) with detailed instructions for use

If you would like to integrate communication directly into your own application without an intermediate server, please also take a look at the following API options:

You can find a list of all available parameters and their ParameterIDs of our devices in their respective 'Communication Protocol' documents, which you can download from the following page on our website: Downloads - Latest Communication Protocols.

The MeCom Device Server for .NET is open-source and is freely available to everyone.
