We hereby inform you that we will be offering a new firmware version 6.31 for Meerstetter TEC Controllers.
From March 16, 2026, we will send all our new offers and order confirmations (and the resulting devices) with firmware version 6.31 by default.
Existing order confirmations with different versions as well as your existing specific customer requests will remain valid.
Would you like an older firmware version for your TEC Controller? Then just note your firmware requirement in the RFQ/order or get in touch with our sales team.
The most important improvements
Peltier Aging Diagnosis
Monitor the health condition of your Peltier elements and detect degradation at an early stage. This enables preventive maintenance and helps to avoid unexpected system downtime.

4-Wire Fan - New Conditioner Mode
Previously, the fan control for 4-wire fans could only cool to a target temperature. Now there is a new “Conditioner” mode. In «Conditioner» mode the heat sink can be heated or cooled by the fan’s air flow, depending on the ambient temperature and the operating mode of the TEC. For more information, please refer to the TEC-Family User Manual, Chapter 6.1.3.6 (Fan Mode “Conditioner").
2-Wire Fan At The Power Output
Previously, either a Peltier or a heating resistor could be connected to the power outputs. Now, with the thermal model “Fan, Cool Only,” a 2-wire fan can also be operated directly. This mode can also be used with the feature "Driver channel splitting". For more information, please refer to the TEC-Family User Manual, Chapter 4.2 (Control Modes).
Improved Temperature Ramp Behavior
During linear temperature ramps, the temperature setpoint can be adjusted while the ramp is in progress without introducing discontinuities. This enables smoother and more flexible temperature transitions in dynamic applications.
Further improvements

Update firmware
As an existing customer, you can already download the firmware version 6.31 (and the corresponding TEC Configuration Software) from our website. The update instructions for the TEC Controller firmware version 6.31 can be found on this how-to website.
Please note: A downgrade from FW v6.xx to FW v5.xx is only possible with a TeamViewer session and remote access.
