TEC controllers are used for thermoelectric cooling and heating in combination with Peltier elements or resistive heaters. Peltier elements are heat pumps which transfer heat from one side to the other, depending on the direction of the electrical current. This allows switching between heating and cooling without any mechanical changes. No compressor is needed.

TEC Controllers in combination with Peltier elements allow the creation of temperature profile cycles with predefined curves, ramps, slopes and hold times.
Autonomous mode: Temperature profiles and number of cycles can be programmed into the memory of the TEC Controller using lookup tables. These lookup tables can be defined in Excel, exported and loaded as CSV file. (See user manual chapter 4) External triggering is possible.
Remote control: Temperature set-points can be externally generated, sent to the TEC Controller, and triggered in a live mode.
Logged temperature and operation parameter data can be exported for documentation, reproducibility and further analysis.
