TEC controllers are used for thermoelectric cooling and heating in combination with Peltier elements or resistive heaters. Peltier elements are heat pumps which transfer heat from one side to the other, depending on the direction of the electrical current. TEC controllers are used to drive the Peltier elements.

1.1 Basics / Setup

This series of videos explains the necessary steps to set up a TEC controller. As an example we configure and optimize it to keep an object at a constant temperature.

1.1.0 Thermoelectric Cooling

This video shows in an example how the Peltier effect is used to cool an object to -8 °C. You can observe the formation of ice at that low temperature.

1.1.1 TEC-Family Controllers

This video is an overview for our TEC-family Peltier controllers. We present the most important features and discuss the advantages of DC current over PWM control, to drive Peltier elements.

Learn how to install all necessary frameworks and the service software for our TEC controllers.
